Solid experience, Severely underpaid, Typical Consulting role
Pros
You gain solid knowledge/experience related to AML compliance basics. You will see a lot of sensitive banking information/transactions. There are opportunities to work for a variety of different banks (clients of AMLRS), perform different duties.
Cons
Salary is inexcusable and management knows it. They prefer to grow as fast as they can as opposed to keeping current employees appropriately compensated. The HR team & upper management is extremely non-transparent. Questions of compensation, career growth, bonus structure are continuously met with words like "our goal, our plan, our objective" These questions are asked at townhall meetings and go unanswered. Instead, responses to these questions will come 1-2 weeks later in a carefully worded newsletter sent out via email. Has the typical feel of a consulting firm, which is exactly what AMLRS is. As an Analyst in a consulting role, you are essentially required to do 50% more work than a person working at that same bank, onsite, and with the same job title, while being paid 50% less.
