Pros

The pay was great! A little too comfortable. They do take care of employees, providing excellent benefits and even business cellphones. I didn't want the insurance, but people say it's great. I got the opportunity to meet some great people from all walks of life. AT&T trained me very well and the experience brought out the best sales woman in me. I didn't think I had it in me. After leaving and moving forward with a new company, I knew the value of what I had. It prepared me for everything in my career. If you can work at AT&T, you can work anywhere, and might even find that other places are not as challenging. I work well under pressure, thanks to this company.

Cons

Where to even start!! Ugh! The coworkers were like a high school drama movie! If one found even the slightest thing to say about you behind your back, everyone would join in. Needless to say, there was absolutely no team work. In a setting where you're not just competing with your peers but 100s of stores, your store will never be number one if you and your coworkers are working against each other. I was sick and tired of coworkers placing blame, pointing fingers, gossiping, and overall the low moral. Eventually, I grew tired of being apart of a losing store. Fortunately for me I moved on to bigger and better things. AT&T looks great on a resume.

Pros

Career opportunities here are plentiful. I began my career with AT&T as a field technician. My specific duties are to install and repair Uverse. I quickly realized that the opportunity to move up within the company is always present. To have a career with AT&T speaks volumes. I wouldn't give it up for the world!

Cons

The challenges, however, are what comes with being an employee of the company. Customer service is an absolute "must-come-first" requirement of our company. We have to remember... the customer does not understand the nature of the business of communications, but know that it is essential for living. The challenge is to be able to keep the customer satisfied, no matter if they are right or wrong about certain situations. It is our challenge as communications professionals to keep them satisfied. It starts with listening to the customer. Only then will we know how to resolve any issue they may have.

Cons

Some managers had a tendency to micromanage union job so some people could get away with not being an exemplary employee
