Upper management held a huge donation campaign in which their employees helped coordinate and purchase gifts. The campaign ended today and Academy just laid off an entire department without notice and cut employees hours with less than a week notice! Completely heartless in gutting their own employees without any notice or empathy. The employees made substantial sacrifices to ensure strangers have an enjoyable Holiday. Academy’s idea of Inspiring hope is a publicity stunt to improve their image at the expense of their own employees. Shame on them!

Be careful taking a job with Academy. They like to hire, hire, hire when it gets busy. And then they do big layoffs VERY regularly. At some point, you will more than likely get laid off. Even if you've worked there for over a decade. They will lay you off. And while all this is happening, the executive team remians the same. And they will spend literally a million dollars to take their top producers on exotic trips around the world, and spend tons of money on humanitarian trips and donations to struggling countries. And while these donations and humanatarian trips seem nice, they are not taking care of employees who have been loyal.
