Pros

Good environment to work in. People are nice to you, not all though. The company is growing rapidly.

Cons

Due to the rapid growth of the company they hire too many people to satisfy their needs and when they don't have use of you they lay you off talking about budget cut. I will see this is a seasonal company because during peak time more people are hired and towards the end of the year they lay people off just like that without even a day notice, not a good thing if you want a career.

Pros

Academy is a smaller mortgage company from Utah. I have worked for them three times, once permanent, and twice as a temporary worker.

Cons

None except that when the economy contracts they seem to downsize quickly which is understandable since they are smaller and want to limit their exposure to loss.

Pros

I have worked at the corporate office in various rolls for over 5 years. Their focus on sustainable home ownership is clear and they do great at promoting this through the entire organization. From the front desk to the highest producing branches, their values are the same. They refuse to work with people who do not treat others well and do not share their overall vision of creating a better life for those around them.

Cons

Their rapid growth has been a challenge to keep up with. Growth is a great challenge to have, but comes with its own set of problems. They often times will hire outside the company rather than encourage hiring from within, because they don't want "poaching" from other departments that could cause a break in business.
