Pros

They have no rules regarding conduct of employees.

Cons

Poor communication from management No Guidance. Inexperienced management. The company has used all of their contact, and have no idea on how to get new customers. Past clients refuse to work with us because we do such a terrible job at finding the right consultant. Management doesn't take any criticism. Management is lazy.

Pros

There are NONE! Tthis company continually disrupts the employees efforts to make real connection with potential clients. Micro-manages everyone so they have to BCC emails and then sends remarks to simulate training efforts, "thanks for being the guinea pig here..." "I would say it this way..." In any case you did not hire these people to be carbon copies let them inject their own personality into the conversations that they have and stop over riding simple emails as if you were the grammar police.

Cons

They have way to many outstanding disputes, clients suing for nonperformance, consultants suing for misleading them into thinking they had an opportunity (only to find out that they did not, after booking airfare and relocating to client's city). Employees trying to get paid for hours actually worked etc.

Accion Labs Response

Unlike many companies that have a "sink or swim" mentality, Accion Labs does spend a lot of time helping train & grow their employees. Many employees are appreciative of having open and honest feedback from their employers, and we are sorry that this particular employee does not feel the same way. In regards to having many outstanding disputes & clients suing for non-performance this is a complete fabrication, as are the statements about sending consultants to a new city with no actual job opportunity - this would simply be a complete waste of the company's time & resources. Additionally, we do pay all of our employees on time, and follow the FLSA guidelines in doing so, including paying non-exempt employees for overtime worked. The one true fact in this review is that other not so "pro Accion" reviews have been removed because they were in fact spam reviews, which the team at Glassdoor recognized. It should also be noted that Accion has only been in business for 3 years, and houses no part-time employees in our Atlanta office, which indicates that this reviewer is also not being fully truthful in this review. We continue to look forward to our future, and we learn from feedback, both positive and negative. We appreciate that you shared your opinion, and we welcome you to contact the team directly if we can be of any help.

Pros

It's something you can put on your resume if you don't get another job.

Cons

Poor Management that doesn't know how to train their employees. Poor relationships with clients. Almost any client that we did place a contractor at either quickly fired the contractor, or the contractor was not happy as the job was completely different from what we had described. The comoany once told a contractor a client on the other side of the country had selected them. The contractor moved at their own expense, and there was no position for them. Management pressures employees to take part in their religious holidays/activities at work. Management blatantly lies to employees and assumes they will not catch it. Sales rarely finds valuable positions to recruit for, and any easy-to-fill vacancies are handed to favorite recruiters. Any positive reviews are most likely planted here by management.
