We appreciate the time and thought you have put into this post. However, it is difficult to read the title of the post and not be confused. At first, we were feeling very good and then we were feeling extremely confused. Let’s start with “Rewarding Work” and “Great Personnel”. Can we stop right there? For most employees, you just described an ideal situation. Your assessment of the importance of our work and the quality of our personnel says it all.
Yes, we provide all new employees a detailed “offer letter”. This is done for the sole purpose of removing any doubt about the responsibilities of the job and the benefits and wages they are entitled to starting on Day One. I cannot imagine a situation where we would decide to change a wage rate, a benefit offered, or a shift schedule that was not agreed to by the employee.
The point is very simple. We operate a state-of-the-art facility that is running 24/7. Schedules are necessary for on-time delivery to our customers. Specially, production employees are awarded a generous starting wage rate and the opportunity to work typically Monday – Friday and every other Saturday. The OT is usually connected to Saturdays. Each new hire participates in a formal discussion with the Recruiting Team and a final offer is made based on those conversations.
Without being disrespectful, it is hard for us to process how you know how “leadership” may or may not feel. Your use of the word “contempt” is unfounded and not accurate. Our managers and supervisors are engaged and are continually advocating for their team members.
Every manufacturing company has a series of processes that incorporates customer deadlines, trained personnel, material costs, government regulations, and safety demands into how the business operates and competes. Acero Precision is no different. No manufacturing company could operate without structure, policies, and oversight.
Finally, there is no “blame” but rather the idea of accountability. We do our best to improve and grow as a business. We have been successful business for the past 40 years. We believe that we are better today than we when we first started. We would like to believe that we are better because we have spent the time listening to and supporting our workforce, the best workforce in the region.
