Pros

Product (one-on-one coaching) strives to improves people's lives

Cons

Poor leadership; weak commission, pay, benefits, and perks; dying business in a dying industry. I honestly don't know how they've stuck around this long. They lay off like crazy.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Its important to us to be able to see these things and guide us in our business decisions to make this company better every day and not only improve our students lives but also our employees! We have made a lot of changes recently to focus even more on pay, perks, and anything else we can find for our focused and driven employees. We love them! Again, thanks for this insight. We sincerely want to hear.

Interesting Sales Tactics

Pros

Kind people and work with schedules

Cons

I was advised to do some unethical things in order to help people buy coaching. The managers are more concerned about selling a big package and asking people to get into massive debt and pull out their retirements instead of caring about the people and starting them a lower better fit package for their long term well being. The sale is more important than the person, employee or customer.

I really wish I could speak with you. My door is ALWAYS open to hearing these kinds of concerns. We are constantly striving to do what is best for the student. That's why we see so many positive reviews from our students every week. But on these occasions, I want to know so we can address the concerns and resolve. Please know you can always come talk to your management team.

Pros

It's commission based so if you can sell you can make decent money convincing people they need coaching.

Cons

It's a very ambitious and greed driven environment. There's a lot of stress to make money. There's a lot of turnover. In addition, there's a lot of Nepotism. At one point it seemed like the president, Paul Mix, employed his whole family. Josh Christopherson is an executive that used to waterboard his sales reps for not making sales when he was a sales manager and the company was called Prosper. Google it. Leadership seemed deceptive and didn't seem like they ever had a plan, always winging it. Overall they weren't a very genuine company.

We appreciate feedback because we sincerely want to improve our employees experience. However, this review is simply not true. Our sales manager has never waterboarded any of his employees as punishment for underperforming. We value each one of our people and would never do anything like this. We are not sure why Nepotism was mentioned. Only two of Paul’s five children have ever worked for the company. Anyone that has worked with Paul Mix or his two sons knows that Nepotism has never existed in the slightest at Achieve Today. All employees are treated the same. We’re sorry that this individual was unhappy, but wish him/her the very best in their future.
