Pros

The pay is good. At $17.00 an hour for easy work is not bad.

Cons

*Not a professional environment *They were not ready to train us. They shoved us all into the front entrance (about 30) to hand out our 2 forms of ID for our i9's. This was redicilous and created a circus. *We didn't even get to our classroom till after 9am even though our class started at 8am and they told us to show up early. *Once there we saw how unprepared they were. We didn't have logins, we didn't have a plan, and we were not training only sitting. *The dress code was confusing. One said business casual and the other said casual. There were people dressed like dock workers, office employees, and 12 year olds at their first day of 8th grade. This did not scream professional. *They made a point to tell us they would serve lunch on the first day. I went off a special diet to eat with my peers as I thought it would be sociable. They brought in pizza in boxes told us 2 slices each, no plates, no napkins and no drinks. I would have happily fed myself. I've seen pizza parties in Kindergarten more organized. *The parking is a nightmare and you can't quite understand why this place is hybrid when there is not any room for anyone there. *They says you get benefits day one. No they mean sign up for them they start in 90 days. I didn't really care but I could see there that there were confused people. *

Pros

Management needs to work on quite a bit…

Cons

The turnover rate at ACT is astronomical, and for good reason. They sit you through six weeks of training, during which you spend the majority of the time playing highschool-level games like ‘hangman’, and watching slideshows on correct usage of the programs. After week 4, with no hands on experience, they throw you onto the call floor-first and foremost, the noise level of 140+ people simultaneously chatting is mindmelting. With no hands on experience, they expect you to multitask through 8-10 programs while on the phone with customers, who are always irate. Aside from lunch, you are alotted two 10 minute bathroom breaks per 9 hour shift-the bathrooms are always full, and you will be yelled at for getting out of your seat.
