Whatever you do, don't work here

Pros

Having a good team of coordinators that understand what you're going through. Its a good job to gain experience because you learn about all the bad things this company does so it helps you look for a company that best suits your needs when you're on the job hunt again.

Cons

This place sucks. There is no leadership or sign of acknowledgement on your contribution to success to the organization. Management will throw extra tasks and responsibilities at you without any proper training and no pay raise. They expect you to learn everything on your own and everything is self taught. You have to make decisions on your own even if you feel uncomfortable when you need management to step in. Leadership does not listen to the things you need or feedback you give. They only care about getting more health plans delegated all while ignoring the fact that every department is short staffed. They believe that people are leaving the company because we're in the middle of the pandemic & no one wants to work... when in reality - no one wants to work for a horrible company. I was desperate for a job and ignored all the red flags. This job gave me so much anxiety and stress and I am so happy that I am able to leave this job. They also HELLLLLA underpay their employees and think they can retain their employees with such low pay. Last thing, turnover rate is so high - its not surprising when you see so many people leaving the company.

Pros

-Used to be a good company with previous management -Good learning opportunities if you are good at self teaching without guidance from coworkers or manager

Cons

New management came in and decided to cut cost by reducing employee benefits: -Sick time was reduced from 8 days to 3 days a year -Employees can only get .50-$1.20 raise once a year (if lucky) -Healthcare copays increased and got rid of Kaiser-_- -High turnover rate -Company’s philosophy is that you are replaceable

Clueless leadership and mismanagement

Pros

It's a paycheck and useful as a stepping stone. A great example of what you don't want in an employer so you know what to look for in the future.

Cons

Insane micromanagement. High standards but they don't give you the tools or training to meet them. Pay is far below market rate but management will still complain that you get paid too much to your face. Raises are 1-2% tops. No bonuses. Hostile environment created by management. They will rub in your face how replaceable you are. Revolving door with 10-15 new hires and people getting fired or quitting every month. HR and your manager are NOT your friend. They will reject and take away your sick or vacation time on a whim. Management will try handing off their job duties to anyone and everyone to the point that nothing gets done because nobody wants to do it. No room for career advancement. Do I need to keep listing things?
