Pros

Good benefits package. Some managers offer flexible hours. Good Mission.

Cons

Bad management in some locations, many Type A personalities only concerned about getting ahead. Very work focused, many work long hours, weekends and take no lunches. Some managers tend to micromanage and aren't suited or trained for management positions to begin with.

Pros

The people are great, I feel like I made good friends while working there. The people who work there are definitely passionate about bike/ped projects, so that spirit is great.

Cons

High expectations of lower-level workers to be very billable, long hours, poorly structured, low budget projects make for budgets running up quickly, unrealistic expectations for remaining billable while marketing. They say they encourage work-life balance, when they actually do quite the opposite.

Pros

Management has its heart in the right place and is doing the right thing - providing empowering opportunities for growth and professional development. People here are passionate about what they do - teams support each other and help out where needed. People regularly go above and beyond because they LOVE WHAT THEY DO and they APPRECIATE WHO THEY WORK WITH. I have worked for many companies - Alta is among the best.

Cons

Like any fast growing company, it experiences growing pains. But these are quickly uncovered and action is taken to minimize them.
