Pros

The team working in the field and production are truly the best part of the company hardworking, knowledgeable, and dedicated.

Cons

Toxic management and leadership with no clear vision for the future. The work environment is high pressure, salaries are low, and there’s no job stability. The company is solely focused on maximizing profits for investors, while overworking and under-appreciating its employees and that exploitation likely extends to how they manage their properties. I strongly recommend staying far away from this company.

Pros

My boss and my team are great and closely bonded. We work very well together and have a strong relationship.

Cons

The company's performance has been declining over the past few years since COVID. The property management team has been performing poorly and inefficiently due to cost-cutting measures and poor decision-making by top management.

Zero Job Security

Pros

The compensation was competitive, and I had the opportunity to work with some truly smart, collaborative, and supportive teammates. The people I worked directly with made the day-to-day more enjoyable and were often the highlight of my experience.

Cons

There is absolutely no job security. During my time at Amherst, there were at least four or five rounds of layoffs — possibly more. The company brands itself as a startup but repeatedly fails to learn from its own mistakes. It’s a reactive environment, not a proactive one, with decisions driven almost entirely by short-term cost savings, regardless of the long-term consequences. Roles are outsourced quickly and without proper planning, often leading to avoidable disruptions. Some executives show little to no interest in actually leading or supporting their teams — it often felt like they were more concerned with adding another bullet point to their resume than making meaningful contributions. To make matters worse, the severance package offered during layoffs was extremely disappointing. When I raised concerns via email, they were completely dismissed without genuine consideration, reinforcing the impression that people are treated as numbers.
