WOW... that is a bad feedback all around. As your CEO, I take this negative feedback to heart; especially, as you also 'disapprove of the CEO' which indicates that even the roadmap we have put in place to adress many (in fact: ALL) of of your critique, is not recognized (by you). I am sorry to see that we lost you - as 'a former employee' - most likely, given our "unrealistic expectations, lack of support and unclarity in our internal processes". The truth is, I cannot fully disagree with you. We do, indeed, still lack some critical tools and processes, to be the 'oiled machine' we aspire to be. We are a fast growing company and we - indeed - need to make sure we grow our infrastructure (structure) and ecosysten (systems) at the same speed, to allow everyone can do their jobs effectively. That said, we are continuing to hire and we are spending - literally - millions (!) in our 2-year IT roadmap, to ensure we get the required capeabilities in place and we get liberated by the burden of excessive manual (vs automated) work, at times. So, I guess, what I am saying: I do not disagree with your cons (except for the 'unrealistic budget', as budgets are ALWAYS a stretch and we reward very well for achievement and / or overdelivery) but I am a little disappointed you are not recognizing the extraordinary effort and resources we are putting into strengthening our tools and processes; which, by the nature of the beast, takes some time... but, the timings are clear: by 2020, we have moved to a new ERP (Oracle), a new & integrated BI platform (PowerBI) etc. In closing, it is true: for the next 1-2 years, people thrive at AMPLIFON, who can deal with ambiguity and big change as we continue to grow fast and build the fundamentals of moving from a mid-sized to a big company. As our new HR Director said, after having been with us for a few weeks: "We are big in numbers & in terms of ambition, whilst still being a startup at heart and in our infrasructure."

Working for Amplifon has been an absolute joyride since day one. I am honestly excited to come to work on Monday morning. I know that I am arriving to wonderful colleagues who deeply care about the overall company objective; bringing the gift of sound to both children and adults. Prior to Amplifon, I had worked in many organizations (both big & small) and nothing compares on any level. With roughly 175 employees in our corporate office, you really feel a closeness among coworkers at all levels across the board. We are lucky to have such easy access to our leaders on the executive team. We have a legitimate open-door policy that allows us employees to speak freely and openly about suggestions/concerns within the company. I appreciated the fact that my direct manager saw my potential prior to my first day in the office. I was told during my interview stage that I would likely be in my role for a total of one year, with a goal of transitioning me into a higher-level position after this time period. They kept their word! I moved into a position that is now helping me reach the goals that I desire and will only benefit my career in the long run. I also admire the candidness of our conversations regarding my future, whether it be with Amplifon or outside of the company. This is just one example of Amplifon’s greatness. My personal journey is not the only one that began this way. Many employees start in entry level positions and branch out within the other business units in our corporate office. Last year, Amplifon even implemented an internal MENTOR program, encouraging employees who have been with the company a minimum 6 months to participate. This offered the opportunity to job shadow other positions within the company, work on leadership skills, or build a strong 1:1 relationship with a chosen mentor. They care about development and want to see each person succeed in his/her own way. My personal opportunities have been endless since my start date. I was encouraged to attend seminars, trainings, store visits, conventions, etc. to further educate myself on the industry. Amplifon is a company that recognizes talent and hard-work. If you are someone who is willing to take the next step, loves sharing new ideas and can accept change (as we are rapidly growing), this is a great company to join. It is a very exciting time to be in the hearing health care field. We are growing. We are expanding our brand name and pushing ourselves as a team. To put it simply; Great people, Great culture, Great overall feel. At Amplifon, I have a purpose.

Cons

Overall GREAT benefits package. Would like to see HSA added eventually.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Pros

If your manager supports you, you will have a lot of opportunities to grow and learn.

Cons

Your experience will be 100% determined by your manager. There is lots of conversations about culture and leadership development. It’s all words, there isn’t accountability for poor leadership. Those leaders end up being transitioned to other internal roles. There are wonderful leaders in the organization, not many, cross your fingers you report to one of them. People are promoted not because of their contributions or their potential but due if their manager vouches for them. The poor leaders are widely known throughout the organization but nothing occurs especially if quarterly results occur. A few years ago the organization invested in hiring a consultant to examine culture, recommendations were made by the employees and nothing happened.
