Pros

Such a great product and company culture. Everyone is extremely hardworking and collaborative. It is rewarding to be working with such intelligent and humble individuals.

Cons

No real cons- standard start-up growing pains.

Pros

I know it sounds trite, the people at Amplitude really are the best part about working here. There's a great sense of shared purpose, and people are always willing to help out in areas that don't necessarily fit their job description. People also really look out for each other on both a professional and personal level, and we have a lot of fun while accomplishing a lot. Another awesome thing is the company's commitment to diversity & inclusion -- even though we don't have HR or anyone dedicated to it yet, an internal team of people from all different teams formed when the company was around 30 people to make sure we hold ourselves accountable and make improvements on both creating an inclusive culture and increasing the demographic diversity of Amplitude. Lots of tech companies don't start thinking about this till their much bigger (and it's much harder at that point to make any meaningful change), so it's great to see this company being so proactive. I'm also continually impressed by the product itself -- our engineers, product, and UX team have made an analytics product that our customers really love, and that stands out even a crowded market with a few established incumbents.

Cons

There are the usual growing pains that come with a rapidly scaling company (we're now past 50 people and quickly adding more people). Communication and coordination between teams could definitely better, but the good thing is that leadership is aware of these problems and actively working to improve them.

Pros

Having worked for a diverse portfolio of companies ranging from the largest software company in the world to pre-series A start ups to silicon valley "Unicorns" - I can truly say that joining the team here at Amplitude has been the best career decision I have ever made. Product sells itself, and the people I get to work with are incredible inside and outside of the office.

Cons

Analytics is a crowded space - but the product is so dominant that once you get a customer to accept a demo, usually turns out to be a deal.
