A Poor Man's Yelp

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

-Work From Home -Fairly light hearted environment -Cold calling as a career is *unserious* over all... Like what kind of job is this? But you can learn skills about motivation and not being afraid of the word "no"

Cons

-I say a poor man's Yelp, because AT LEAST Yelp offers medical benefits to its employees from day 1. This is at no expense to the employee. Angi makes you wait 90 days before getting benefits. -Angi is saving a lot of money by going remote, but this money saved is not used for anything to make the employee's day to day better. How about a lunch voucher? WFH voucher to get a second screen? -False sense of urgency with this job. They require 3 hours of TT and 150 dials as a minimum and act like it's the end of the world if you don't hit those metrics. It's not. -Low base pay $14 /hr -Zero diversity in management. Unless you consider diversity white women. -Clock in and out manually like its 1980. If you miss a punch at 8:30am, 12pm, 1pm, or 5:30pm you have to contact your manager. -If

Thank you for your review and for being a committed Angi employee for over a year. We are actively working on building a strong remote culture of continuous learning & support for our Sales Teams by having weekly office hours to field and collaborate on concerns and ideas that will improve our culture and earning opportunities. We invest heavily in contests, incentives like President’s Club trips to Mexico, fantasy sports leagues, etc. If you have ideas we would love to hear your thoughts. A core Angi value is to “Create & Build Momentum”, and we embody this value by setting high outreach goals to increase our chances of supporting our Service Providers as they build & scale their customer network. Our metrics are in place to ensure we are doing our best to aid the Providers we support. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Thanks for your feedback. We lead our sales organization with integrity and ensure that service professionals understand the value of our product as part of the sales process. If you feel like there was miscommunication to our SPs, we hope you raised the issue with your manager prior to leaving Angi. Also, in terms of low pay, we stand behind our competitive compensation and believe our commission plan is also structured in a way that truly rewards top performance. We hope you find a better fit in your next endeavor.
