Pros

PTO is good. Benefits are solid. WFH (could be a con depending who you are). Flexible scheduling. Teammates are great - supportive and work towards a common goal.

Cons

IS DEFINITELY A SKETCHY COMPANY. More on that later. The pay scale has consistently decreased over the years except for the best of the best in the sales role. The average employee has certainly suffered. In addition, lead quality and distribution is heavily skewed towards the top - have to earn your way in. The rich get richer in this job, for sure. The management is completely aloof. I have never received a coaching and the missed meetings are daily occurrences. I barely even know any upper level management and do not trust them even in the slightest. They hide company information from all employees and keep everything on the hush hush (such as the ongoing FTC lawsuit against the company that has never been mentioned). They pull sketchy tactics and leave all employees in the dark. They tell you specifically what to say on calls that "won't get QA'd" which is a fancy and (internal) technical term used to say "we can get away with it legally." If you have a high moral compass - I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Thanks for leaving a review! Flexible PTO and comprehensive benefits are important perks we are proud to extend to our team members. In the last year we've also implemented flexible WFH policies as we believe team members can be successful wherever they work. Our sales teams are important to our organization's success which is why in addition to base salaries team members make an uncapped commission. Many individuals have seen success as a result of this structure and training is available to help with meeting sales metrics goals. Regarding leads, we agree that some are better than others, however our sales teams are given the same tools and pathways to work towards achieving warmer leads. We encourage team members with questions regarding these opportunities to connect with their direct supervisor who can set them up for success. Our calls are monitored to ensure we provide a best in class experience to prospective service professionals as well as to protect our representatives from any inappropriate conduct on calls. We take the quality and integrity of how we sell Angi very seriously and we take appropriate actions on our end if/when individuals stray from outlined protocols. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to reach out to myself directly. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

There are still some very talented people at Angi. I have made some connections through working there that will continue throughout my personal and professional life. Work/life balance is good.

Cons

Imagine trying to operate an entire cruise ship with only 10 people. That is what it feels like to be an engineer at Angi. There is an absurd amount of tech debt that other members of the organisation have 0 interest in fixing. There are hardly any designers so resource is scarce. The people left are either so swamped with their work or so done caring that there is very very little collaboration between teams. There are daily issues with infrastructure and not enough resources to properly fix them. All decisions are made by top execs with everyone below having little or no input. If you are a current employee - you are underpaid and new engineers walking in the door are getting much higher salaries and boat loads of stock. There is also a huge diversity problem. Most women have been driven out the engineering organisation and replaced with men.

Thank you for leaving a review and for your time spent as an Angi team member. While we're glad to hear you've made lifelong connections and enjoyed the work/life balance our culture provides, we're sorry to hear your perspective on how decisions and priorities are handled. Since we launched the Angi brand just over a year ago, we've established organizational alignment on our strategic goals & our Product and Engineering teams thoughtfully prioritize projects that directly impact these goals. We are also rapidly hiring in this competitive market and recruiting talented, diverse candidates is a top priority for our talent acquisition teams. We've also taken a proactive approach in prioritizing diversity internally with the creation of our Employee Resource Groups (ERG's) and recent company lunch celebrating International Women's Day. Management and HR are committed to being available to addressing questions or concerns individuals have around compensation or professional growth opportunities and we encourage team members to utilize these resources. We appreciate your review and wish you the best in your next endeavor. - Amit Gulati, SVP Engineering

Pros

Great money, if you're successful and have team support.

Cons

If you're not successful immediately you're written off, not given support, ignored. Awful communication when you have issues. If you have a disability or health issue, don't bother applying. They say they care about employees, but only if you're making money. If you're struggling, they don't give a crap about you. You always have to fake being happy or you're told you're dragging everyone down. You can't say anything the least bit negative even if you're world is falling down around you. Female coworkers are treated differently than male coworkers.

We appreciate you leaving a review and for your time as an Angi team member. All about talent and strength in diversity are two core values that are very important to us. Our sales representatives are integral to our organization's continued success and our standards are the same for all team members with favoritism of any kind not being tolerated. We're sorry to hear you did not feel supported in your role and encourage any team member who finds themselves in a similar situation, to speak with HR or myself directly. Sales fosters a high energy, competitive and at times, stressful environment which is why we equip teams with supplemental training and readily available managers who are dedicated to their team's success. Thank you again for your review and we wish you the best in your next role. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy
