Pros

Impressive culture - AST does a really good job of showcasing it's people-centric value system through various employee recognition initiatives, opportunities to participate in internal sub-groups, fun virtual lunches, etc. Emphasis on DE&I throughout the organization. Really 'walks the walk' in terms of supporting employee growth and career development. Very talented and supportive consultants. Lots of autonomy. Accessible and communicative leadership (including executive and c-suite).

Pros

AST is a great people-centric place to work! There is a lot of opportunity at AST. The client's work can sometimes be challenging, but the team is always able to work together. There is a lot of room for innovation and ideas to grow and be applied at AST, especially with a leader dedicated just to innovation. AST leadership does a good job of communicating where we are in the market and what our future outlook is. Also, AST offers great benefits and flexibility in work times to really support the team. In the time I have been with AST, it is evident that leadership happens at every level, and all ideas matter. I am very impressed with the company's commitment to DEI and especially in elevating women.

It Isn't What It Use to Be

Growing opportunities. Good projects. Good benefits.

Cons

It isn't the old AST. Diversity has changed. It's been whitewashed. HR team is distant and not trustworthy, which is a shame because the original HR team and leadership was welcoming, transparent, and inviting. What use to be a family friend environment, is now cold.

At AST, we believe we are better together. Fostering an equitable culture of diversity and inclusion is a top priority for AST, including our HR Team. We have several employee resource groups and multiple outlets for employees to voice their concerns with those inside and outside of HR so action can be taken. We strongly encourage all who are employed with us to utilize these resources and express how AST can better support them.
