Be aware: please take my advice, as well as the 14 or so of the other negative reviews on here about Athena, and don't walk...RUN from this place. Do not work here! The corporate owners/CEO/SEO etc are all in it for themselves. They do not care about the employees in the homes, nor do they care about the residents and their families. They are very paranoid, and always must have the upper hand and control on what happens in the homes, leaving little point for the department director to handle anything on their own. The corporate office rules everything. I mean, corporate directors who are being called by angry family members purposely don't take the call or return the call because they simply don't want to be bothered to handle the situation! They keep purchasing new homes, promising raises, but they're just empty lies. Raises will never occur with all the new buying they're doing and pocketing all the money for themselves. If you're an RN, do yourself a huge favor and go to a nursing home that is not run by Athena, or go to a hospital because the starting rate of pay with this place is literally a slap in the face. I witnessed an RN come in looking for a job and when she was told how much the starting pay was her eyes bugged out of her head and she said "wait, what?!" and legitimately said "I can make way more than that elsewhere" and decided not to apply. I can go on and on. But really, ask yourself, do you REALLY want to work for a company that treats their employees like garbage, constantly ignore you and your requests, and NEVER get a raise all to just watch this company "grow?" All in all, there really is no positive thing to say about this company. You're better off working anywhere but here...
