Pros

Easy to pick up shifts. My location has great teammates in all departments. This can vary from site to site. But everyone at my location are friends in and out of work.

Cons

Atrocious benefits. One of the largest healthcare companies in the US, and they have literally the worst health insurance in the area, I know, I file it all the time. The worst party is, CHS (now atrium health) owns a stake in the healthcare company the offer coverage through. So they double dip, you pay for the coverage, you go to see their doctors. They’re reimbursed by what little but they pay, then you pay CHS the ungodly out of pocket portion. So they get some of insurance profits, they get the pay out cause you have to see their physicians, then they get your out of pockets portion. All so the CEO can get his 1.5 million bonus. I got into healthcare for patient care, not money.

Pros

Great teammates to work with

Cons

Low pay High cost for benefits PTO has to be used for holidays though office is closed for all holidays PTO denied stating it was "too early" to submit, resubmitted at a later time and denied because two employees already have had their requests submitted earlier that year Poor communication with management Treated poorly at end of employment, no official exit interview with manager, manager did not say goodbye, no discussion about COBRA etc.
