Pros

The company itself is very forward thinking, and innovative. With the right management, they will have great success.

Cons

The management at the location that I was located, were either great, or absolutely terrible. The good ones, were carrying the load for the bad, and making less money. The same goes for the hourly employees, and this is very frustrating, as you begin to feel that two or three people are doing everybody's job. Executive Chef continued to cut menu items, until there was barely anything on it, and the guest complained constantly about these actions. My time spent with the company was great, until upon leaving they cheated me out of all my paid time off, which I would have loved to taken, but could not, because of a constant shortage of help in F & B.

First, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding your Atrium Hospitality experience and, more importantly, your patience with our response. It is unfortunate that your experience was not as favorable as we would have expected. Our commitment to ensure that every Associate has a fulfilling, rewarding and mutually beneficial experience remains a priority for us. Driving an inclusive, transparent and open culture that consistently embodies our core values of "Perseverance, Teamwork, Service and Respect" is at the core of who we are as an organization. We appreciate your comments and take your feedback seriously. As an organization, it is incumbent upon us to hire and promote leaders and managers who, first and foremost, embody our core values. This is critical as they play a pivotal role in helping us build a strong, positive and engaged workforce. This is critical to our Associates, our organizational morale as well as the continued success of our business. We will always work with our Associates, leaders and managers to ensure that everyone receives the support they need to achieve the highest and best results imaginable and we will do so by encouraging open and transparent discussions about how we can all continue to grow and develop professionally and personally. As we continue to grow, we will hire and place the right people in positions so that we can maintain the staffing levels required for optimal efficiency, performance and results. Our priority is to cultivate a positive and engaging work environment for our Associates; after all, we are in the hospitality business! In those cases where we have fallen short of that, we want to know so we can respond accordingly. We encourage all associates to utilize our communication vehicles to escalate any issues so they can be addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Again, thank you for your patience with our response. We appreciate your transparent input and will reflect on it as we continue to make Atrium Hospitality a great company at which to work. We will continue to look at how we can improve our processes, benefits and working environment as we strive to make Atrium Hospitality an employer of choice. Pros

Growing company with plenty of opportunities to move around or up if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Horrible/misleading quarterly sales incentive plan. Starts at "6%" of quarterly salary, which is already lower than what is typical at other hospitality management companies. The fine print: they hold back 1/2 of what you've rightfully earned. You only receive it if you achieve your annual sales goal. If you don't, that money is lost. It would be more palatable if they advertised/marketed this correctly to their sales staff - bonuses start at 3%, and you get a matching bonus if you reach your annual goal.

A Company That Cares

Pros

Atrium Hospitality is a new company that stated operating in 2015 and has rapidly grown to 81 hotels under management. Usually such incredible growth brings many challenging and missteps along the way even under ideal circumstances, but Atrium is unique for a number of reasons. Atrium embraces and deploys the best technology and resources available to run the hotels and provide smart resources to the team members. Atrium’s ownership group does not sell hotels, they buy them and keep them. They invest in these hotels and maintain them to the highest standards. It makes us proud to work in these hotels and welcome clients and guest to really outstanding properties. The leadership team at Atrium is outstanding and cares about the associates at the properties and displays this care by listening and addressing the concerns of the associates. Our industry experienced the greatest challenge ever with the pandemic and Atrium proved once again why they are the “best in class” by taking care of the associates that worked through the crises.

Cons

As with any employer there are opportunities to improve and Atrium Hospitality is no exception. However, when associates provide feedback on concerns that important to them or their families, Atrium responds and addresses the concerns head on. So, it difficult to point out the cons of working for this company because in all fairness they address them when we present them to senior leadership.
