This is a company I am totally embarrassed to work for on so many levels. Firstly, compensation is the lowest. People receive raises of .25 - .50 per hour on already low wages. Their holiday bonus gift for 2021 was $100/$50/$25 depending on your length of service. The owners supposedly gave $50 million dollar donation to their alma mater – Ohio State. That’s great but that should not be on the back of low paid workers. Secondly because of the low wages, there is huge turnover at any of the branches. No one seems to care that it is because of the low wages or lack of training. Thirdly, my manager held a team meeting for updates on a Fridays and then on Mondays. So we were sitting in a meeting giving an update on a update and nothing had changed and wasted an hour of everyone’s time. The manager had unrealistic expectations without any understanding of the work to be performed and would just bark out orders. Fourthly, each business unit has its own fiefdom. Payroll and IT (or IS Dept). They take no ownerships of their systems and IS has developed its own home grown system that barely functions and everything from department to department is entered by hand, which takes time and effort and is rife for errors. Just avoid this place at all costs or until you find another job. There are so many red flags about AutoChlor. I am ashamed to have been apart of this company trying to help it succeed when it has so many problems without leadership that really cares about what is going on than fix any of the huge problems at hand.

Too many areas are covered by one position, management has no idea what is going on a lot of the time with accounts, if you get a semi new truck they are good, but if you are unlucky and get an older truck good luck staying up on your route. Was here for almost 4 years, almost the most tenured guy in the route room and when I put in my 2 weeks not a word was said to me as far as appreciation. Wasn't always the best at my job, we all get lazy, especially with covid, we literally did nothing for 1 year so getting back into it was rough when everything opened back up. On my last day I felt like I had to force the manager to shake my hand, he had been my manager for 4 years almost and it seemed we had a pretty good relationship but in the end he showed all that was for show. Took me quitting and improving my life as an insult to him, personally.
