Pros

Sales Managers pay plan was completely exploitable if dealership was run well health insurance was cheap you determine your own income

Cons

sales staff moving to carmax style pay plan car business with autonation no longer a self starter environment

Pros

People you work with are great. My service manager and director are top notch.

Cons

I just can't get over hourly pay and medical. No raises for hourly workers. They are the worst I've ever seen. Also promotions are not handed out to workers who have tenure or work their butts off. It's dependent on whoever is manager and how well you can cater to them. So if you take manager out for drinks and do personal favors for them, you get a promotion and the GM is none the wiser as he has more important things to do than to monitor his own dealership like attend conferences in Vegas etc.
