Pros

Great culture unless you work under a dysfunctional manager!

Cons

Talk about dysfunction. Caustic and toxic environment. Unless you were a member of one of the good old boys clubs, you would feel like an outsider. No matter what they say about partnership with its associates, it’s all BS

Goodness – What happened here? We do appreciate that you took a moment to call out our great culture and approve of our CEO. That says a lot about our culture and the many extraordinary people that make Availity a Great Place to Work™-certified company. In today’s work world, the idea of a “good old boys club” makes us cringe. We really do pride ourselves on making Availity a wonderful and thriving company. We can’t change your experience and can’t imagine what could have happened, but we are sorry if we failed you. While we do have several tenured associates with a long history in the industry and company, we openly welcome new and diverse talent into our organization. We often remind new associates that we aren’t just looking for people to get the job done; we are looking for people who can bring new perspectives and ideas to our organization to help us evolve and grow. For those considering a career at Availity, please know that our leadership team is strong and growing. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We wish you much success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Relaxed pace usually Time Off Multi-team effort Remote Ability to explore other teams/ learn

Cons

Time tracking/ assessments can be a bit cumbersome. Organizational restructures seem to happen often, sometimes affecting project timelines, employees, funding, etc. Starting to incorporate Indian workers, which makes it extremely hard to get projects completed.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review—we appreciate your feedback. It’s great to hear that you are enjoying your experience at Availity. With an emphasis on finding that work-life balance, we are proud of the collaborative, mobile, and flexible culture that we’ve created by working with—and listening to—our associates. We’ve definitely evolved our org structures lately – and we know it’s disruptive. But we promise, any time a reorganization happens we weigh the disruption against the long-term benefits we’re hoping to see. With the growing demand for innovation in the healthcare market, we are entering a hyper-growth phase as a company, which is exciting! And we are starting from a place with outstanding NPS scores from our clients and consistently high Associate Engagement scores. Maintaining a high level of client and associate satisfaction into the next phase of our business is a priority, so your advice is appreciated. At Availity, we are fortunate to have tremendous talent hidden around every corner of our organization, including our associates in India. Tapping into the diversity of our organization to bring the right teams/individuals together to solve some of the most complex problems in healthcare is what will set us apart from our competitors. Will there be challenges? For sure! But we are up to those challenges as an organization, and we welcome anyone interested in making healthcare more efficient for everyone. Again, thank you for your review. We are glad you are here.

Pros

Medical/Dental insurance 401k Unlimited PTO for salaried employees Flexible work schedules Remote or office capabilities (office is recently remodeled) Nice people Decent pay

Cons

Availity has grown exponentially in the last two years, and not in a good way. We are twice as busy as we were last year, which was quadruple as busy as prior years. However, no additional full-time resources were approved (they were requested), which means we're all drowning in work right now with no light at the end of the tunnel. It's stressful and difficult work.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our benefits team at Availity works hard to provide competitive benefits, so we appreciate your positive feedback—401k matching, unlimited PTO, flexible scheduling, remote options, and salary. We are sorry that our growth is causing you to feel stressed, so let's talk about our rapid growth. As our business grows, it is essential to make changes to accommodate that growth. Programs and processes that have worked for many years may not work the same as business increases. Growth isn't just about numbers; it's also about scale. How can we change the work we do to scale effectively with the business? Do we need more resources, or can we stop doing something because it no longer supports the company's goals? Your manager is probably thinking about this as well. All that said, we are adding headcount where we need it, and the organization has several open positions currently available. Read that again, we’re aware of the need for resources and ARE ADDING THEM. It's wonderful that your manager is awesome! We try really hard for transparency at the executive level. They work hard to help associates feel informed about our business. From Town Halls to quarterly All Associate Meetings, internal videos, and Friday updates from our CEO; our execs regularly share information and detail at a deeper level than most companies. We understand that transparency is subjective, but we can assure you that transparency is an objective of our leadership and internal communications team. We will close with this note; change is hard for everyone. We get it. We feel it. We are grateful for your contributions and encourage you to stick with us. It's an exciting time to be at Availity with so many good things happening right now!
