Years ago Avid was one of the best brands in broadcast. They were full of innovation and excitement.

The current executive team, led by Louis Hernandez, is a disaster and could well be responsible for the demise of the company.

None anymore. The few people that are still the heart of Avid and have stayed would be the only pro. Everything else is fluff and lies.

Cons

Having spent my whole adult life here I can truly say I watched Avid deteriorate until it barely exists. Good people who cared and tried to make a difference would come in, get beat down then eventually throw the towel in and move on. The technology is not cutting edge. The staff are treated horribly and underpaid compared to . Outsourcing is king in every department. Raises and bonuses are urban legends but each new reign of management comes in making a disgusting amount more than their incompetent predecessors. Lather, rinse, repeat - with a shiny new powerpoint!
