Sinking ship

Pros

The owners look for reasons to have big parties for employees loaded with amazing food and bevies. The free shwag is cool, and the discounted hoardes of stuff you can walk away with at their garage sale is insane

Cons

poor company culture, poor technical support, poor infrastructure, no managerial hierarchy. Managers do not follow protocols, this company is very meeting heavy and loves to impose impossible deadlines and budgets. The pay for what you do here is a joke. It seems like a good deal, but wait until you see how much work they pile on your plate.

Pros

This was my first job outside of college. Great learning opportunity and the ability to work in multiple departments and learn business operations and sales skills.

Cons

Long term, you'll be significantly underpaid than if you provided your skillset elsewhere. I made a huge salary jump upon leaving, and had way better work/life balance and flexibility, which wasn't possible at BDA. Also, there was so many unprofessional office flings -- and that played into corporate politics. Really great eye opener, although that hasn't been as prevalent at other places I've worked since.

Pros

best people to work with, the job itself can be enjoyable, great vendors to work with, free snacks from time to time.

Cons

get ready to be lied to from the get go...promises of bonuses (chances are slim) they will tell you that your family but it's a highly dysfunctional one and will abuse your work ethic. Heavy workload and an inefficient data system will require some to work overtime and most are not compensated as they pay salary with the non-existent bonus to compensate your many late evenings at the office. high number of last offs. very little support from your management. very low pay. office politics are ridiculous, sometimes feels like high school and not in a good way.
