Pros
This is a learning hospital that is great for people wanting to get into healthcare. If you are in school or have a second job they are very flexible. The staff is a mixed bag. There are a great handful of staff they are absolutely dedicated to their patients and their team, which is a huge reason to work here. Despite the cons it's definitely possible to have a positive experience here as long as you create healthy boundaries between yourself and the employer and work per diem or part time.
Cons
However, they will call you for coverage for any shift, ask you to stay overtime and other staff members call off a lot. The hospital definitely has the same shortcomings that many hospitals go through. Short staffing - sometimes. Management that is not helpful or accountable. There is no security, you are security when it comes to a combative patient. There is a lot of nepotism here.
