Thank you for taking the time to provide your input. At BSI we work hard to remain above market in our benefits offering which includes PTO and a holiday “shut down period” in December. We believe in making excellence a habitat as part of our commitment with our employees, and this why BSI is continuously looking for new opportunities to develop our managers, and provide them with the appropriate tools to be successful leaders within the organization. As part of this ongoing development, executives and managers attend seminars and sessions to develop and establish solid leadership journeys with their teams.

Pros

Good benefits. Loyal employees. Great name.

Cons

President of the company hires and keeps only yes men. It's the good old boys club. Verbal harassment is common and tolerated. On board training may take place from day to 5 months after hire. Entropy (technology) is undesirable and taking down the company revenue. High turn over in the sales division. It is common place that solution selling is a moving target. No one knows how to sell or market Entropy software.

Thank you for your feedback. BSI has tripled in size over the last seven years under the direction of the current Americas President. The executive team is a stable group comprised of both men and women. Much of this executive team has significant management experience outside BSI and within BSI. Due to the growth of the BSI core business, a Chief Operating Officer position was recently added to the organization. Entropy development has been repositioned in the past 18 months which has resulted in increased sales and customer satisfaction. Sales targets adjust annually based on market trends, territory conditions and product development. Sales training and employee onboarding are two key areas of focus for BSI.

Pros

pretty good company perks; wear jeans on fridays, company events, good benefits packages, etc...

Cons

Management in the HR department have no idea what they're doing. You can't make any suggestions in the HR Department if you want to enhance a process or function. They will throw your suggestion out the window immediately. Too much drama in the HR department. You can't trust anyone in the HR Department. Any small error that was not your fault initially will eventually fall back on you. Management never admits that they're wrong about anything.

We were disappointed to hear of your views about the time you were working at BSI, which must have been over 3 years ago (we haven't had this role in the HR team since 2012). I can only reassure you that this is not at all representative of the HR team, who have received very positive feedback in our recent employee engagement survey results. Specifically, 93% of HR employees said "I am actively encouraged to come up with new or better ways of doing things" and 100% said "the day-to-day actions of the management team for my area are consistent with their words “they walk the talk”". BSI prides itself on having excellent people practices which is is reflected in our recent Silver Investors In People accreditation.
