VP that was like a backstreet car salesman and an embarrassment at clients. An Assistant VP who was a puppet for the VP who was more interested in trivia, missed the big picture, and was like a victorian school teacher with a condescending attitude. I trained her and quickly realised that like her immediate boss she did not have a clue. The company operates by promoting the incompetent and ensuring that talent does not get recognised. As a qualified pilot I could not get into aerospace, but a certain 'gentleman' who had been on a plane once and could not assess to save his life progressed to the level of VP. This particular individual was totally into his own self promotion, but would promise and fail to deliver bonuses. He now works for a competitor. Was he finally pushed or did he go of own accord?
