Pros

Ball Aerospace is a true superstar in developing science missions for space. Every project brings new and unique learning opportunities, both in new areas of technology and in new customer applications.

Cons

Uneven organizational maturity. Some areas are dedicated to self-study and improvement, and others do things they way they were done decades ago and fear change.

Pros

There is a lot of diversity of work at Ball. Ball recognizes that it needs to catch up with the rest of the industry and is doing all it can to integrate more advanced ERP and MRP sysems into daily processes. There are many projects at Ball that have a very high technological content, and are fun and challenging to be part of.

Cons

My biggest complaint with Ball Aerospace is the lack of leadership. The Vision and Mission statements are slogans that mean nothing, and can't be measured. Employees do not have a sense of how what they are working on effects the bottom line, or the strategic direction of the company. While Ball is doing well at integrating more advanced ERP and MRP systems they do not follow through with effective training, so the tools languish.

Pros

Good people to work with. Exciting technologies developed. The business of space is an exciting one. Working with btoh defense and NASA customers provides for a diverse knowledge base. The location is also unbeatable. Right next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains

Cons

Work is slow right now. There are no big projects in house to work right now and nothing to look forward too for the coming year. All companies go through down times, Ball will recover someday soon.
