Pros
A new building was completed in March 2012. The new area has private rooms for patients and a couch in the room for family to stay overnight. It is clean and pretty. Provides good health benefits
Cons
While management focuses on increasing patient satisfaction so reimbursement will not be affected, they have not addressed safe staffing ratios. Nurse to patient ratios are often 6:1 and potentially could go to 7:1 in the daytime. The nighttime patient ratios are anywhere from 6 - 8 patients for one nurse. Nurse hiring freeze. Unable to take a single day off during the summer. Employees only able to take a week block off. Lots of documentation time that takes away time for bedside care.
