      Low Pay, Slave Driving Workloads

      Pros

      They always have work to do because they can't keep employees so there is always a need for new hires. Job security. The customers are nice and fun.

      Cons

      Outdated equipment, severe lack of communication, disgruntled co-workers due to their pay/commission structure. I like the credit program incentives as they are a nice challenge. There is too much work for the Sales Associates to perform during their scheduled work day. Not to mention, I am absolutely exhausted and in severe pain from all of the physical labor - I should be able to primarily focus on the customers!!! After all, they are number one! I clean cottages on the side in addition to my Belk job and am no where near as tired or in pain from the physical labor of cleaning cottages. The pay is so much better too! It is a disgrace what they pay you for the amount of work they expect you to do. I thought slavery was abolished in America!!

      worst job experience to date... would not recommend to any driven individual looking to grow within the company

      Pros

      Great part time job through transitional periods or college student. Advancement is harder once you enter the company at entry level

      Cons

      few career advancement opportunitites for existing employees customer service is not appreciated sales per hour and credit is the only measures for satisfactory performance reviews dept mgr have little or no managerial training
