Pros

Will hire nearly anyone. I mean, nearly anyone. It's great if you need a job ASAP and have no experience in anything or are just desperate.

Cons

They do not generally care for well being of your furry relative. Take note - they will nickname your dog something awful like the "sh*t vacuum" as a dog was called in my time there for his horrid anxiety and there disciplinary methods are flawed and honestly outdated.

From the last sentence of your review (stop treating our furry relatives like numbers), I am not sure if you were client or an employee. At your convenience, please give me a call on 212-401-3024 or email me on abraithwaite@biscuitsandbath.com, so we can investigate. Please provide the dog's name and the location where the incident occurred. If you were an employee, it was not clear from your review what steps you took regarding the situation - i.e. raising the issue to the manager of the location and/ or Human Resources. We have procedures in place and our associates are to escalate all issues with the dogs. For those reading this review who would like a better understanding of our hiring process for the Dog Handler role, please read the 2014 & 2015 interview reviews on this website. The 2015 Dog Trainer review actually describes the dog handler hiring process. The hiring process for Dog Trainers is much different. The July 2014 review is very detailed and gives a good idea of what to expect. The only thing that has changed is where training takes place. - Allison Braithwaite

Pros

First and foremost, the dogs and clients at my location. My clients have been coming to B&B for years and in some cases, are using our services for the second or third dog. I also like that we provide individualized care and don't try a one size fits all approach. The dogs in our care all have different needs, so I was happy to see the level of detail that is captured by the company. Also, in the short time I have been with the company, I have learned so much about dog behavior. I have a dog, but I have learned professionally about dog behavior. Prior to interviewing with B&B, I read the reviews on here and was a little worried about what I read. Before I interviewed, I visited 3 different locations pretending to be a client interested in different services. The locations were clean and the staff was pleasant. I did not find what was described on here. I am glad I did research and saw things for myself.

Cons

Can be very emotional (you are dealing with someone's loved one/family member) and stressful. It is stressful because there are a lot of details and you want to get them right. There are a lot of moving parts as you are managing a lot of services (daycare, grooming, transportation, dog walking, etc.) at one time and want to make sure you stay on top of things and deliver for your clients and the dogs in your care. I do like this challenge though. Also, the turnover for the Handler role is high, but given the pool I probably should expect it. People in this role are usually in school, have very little work experience or this is their first job. It seems sometimes the people who take on this role don't realize the amount of work involved and think all it is watching and playing with dogs. There is work involved as well as procedures in place that we all must follow in caring for the dogs.
