Pros

Pay/Benefits/Bonus are great. Getting to travel and work in areas that you never though you'd work in is a cool experience. You will learn a lot about yourself as a person. It was great for coming out of college and getting those student loans paid off in a short amount of time. If gives you that head start in life for saving money for the future.

Cons

First off there is no training when it comes to this position. It is a sink or swim job. Your best hope is to get on a job site that has another good Field Construction Coordinator/Project Construction Coordinator that will actually take the time to sit down and show you what is expected. Most of the training is on the company Learning Hub but half the time it doesn't help. As an FCC you are on the low end of the totem pole and at most times it is an under valued and under apricated position. During orientation they tell you that you'll have 50/50 field to office work schedule, but when you get to site you'll realize they have you doing the work of 2 to 3 employees and still expect you to get out in the field. Learn how to delegate work out because that is the only way to make it work. Once you embrace the SUCK and finally realize your not going to be perfect the job gets easier.

Pros

They give you good benefits to try and increase tenure among employees. The benefits seem great in comparison to your low salary but they don't really equate to the 13 hours days you are working, living in the middle of absolutely no where, and the inconsistency of good management. Pro is you are making a difference for the better of the world to some degree working in renewable.

Cons

HR incompetent- it is actually incredible how much money they lose annually because of their lack of competent HR team- they need a staffing resource manager, the company overall is very political- promotions are not given to the people that deserve them or who should they are instead given based on tenure and who you know, your salary equates to min wage after you calculate the hours you work, I don't feel encouraged to speak up in support of my deserved promotion because HR does not know how to keep anything confidential and out of fear I will never receive my next promotion. Overall senior management should really look at restructuring key internal teams such as HR, better communications and processes need to be in place when your manager changes per job for consistency on employee growth and promotion timing.

- They pay well - Department that don't work directly with the solar or wind installation seem to have a great time. - Their benefits a great (They pay for healthcare!)

Cons

- Management is untrained - Growing pains are not just showing the cracks but the craters - There is no formal learning process for new hires.
