expectations are high but hard work is rewarded. a company at this stage undergoes a lot of change, so employees must be able to adapt

merger woes

Pros

Before the merger, it was great. The team was awesome and people wanted to stay.

Cons

The merger was too much. Pushing multiple companies together that have opposing cultures led to a we/them mentality to the max and was toxic.

Pros

- supportive teams and individuals that are driven by social impact - continued investments in both people and product - flexible and autonomous work culture that promotes creative problem solving - internal promotions and opportunities to learn new skills

Cons

- some outdated technologies and resistance to change, but seeing progress via new leaders motivating our movement in the right direction - mergers are wonderful! However growing pains are present (currently aligning benefits and corporate systems) - some silos between departments, but this is solved through direct communication and holding yourself and others accountable
