Pros

The location is convenient, some of the team members are friendly even though they have to deal with below average pay and rude residents the competent ones find a way to power through their day with a smile.

Cons

Management likes to give off the appearance of diversity and inclusion but when you look closely, the only people who really have an opportunity to grow are non minorities. The SMA position is grossly underpaid and overworked in the New Rochelle location(s), turnover is so high they've had to bring in temps who eventually leave once they see how it really is to work there.

Probably varies by property; mine was terrible

Pros

Ability to move up. Properties in a variety of locations. Great training program.

Cons

My property was extremely unorganized; I mean, half of our leases we just stacked in the back and under desks when I got hired and management did not seem to think organization was a priority. Our manager expected us to work through lunches and it was not rare for my coworkers and I to work past 8 or 9pm, off the clock for budget purposes. If we went out for lunch and did not work through we we made to feel like we weren't working hard enough. Assistant and property managers were unwilling to interface with customers is we were busy or short handed. Honestly and as undramatically as possible, it was an extremely poisonous atmosphere and you could tell by the high turnover rate at the property.

At first I was told there was much promise for growth and the training is very helpful when it comes to any learning curve you may have.

Cons

Poor management, very unorganized and have felt disrespected on many occasions. They say you have a lot of opportunity for growth but they hold you back when you go above and beyond.
