Pros

Bsk used to be one of the best places to work to could ever ask for. You were valued. Your opinions mattered. Your work life and personal life were both valued. You knew the c suite had s vision and knew how to reach it. Today, that's all gone. Bsk is a sinking ship and it all started with it became a "sales readiness" platform.

Cons

Horrible executive hiring decisions. A CSO with a vision that does not match brainshark as an organization. Sales reps who couldn't care less about selling well as long as they get their commission. A path that changes daily and a product that is so full of glitches and bugs it's become an embarrassing mine field.

We were disappointed to read this review and learn you feel this way. I would have embraced the opportunity to do this face to face. As CSO, it is my responsibility to make sure that the sales organization is carrying out the company strategy. The company decided to move to focus on the sales readiness space. My job was and is to align and prepare a sales organization that can execute on that strategy. Not everyone is going to agree with a new strategy. Change is difficult. We have carried out that strategy and we have now seen record quarter over quarter growth. We have tried to be as transparent as possible sharing our recent wins, conducting All Hands Sales meetings, Town Halls, breakfast feedback sessions and recently added a new future leaders program. My hope is that you have been able to participate in some or all of these and your experience has changed. We are always striving to do better and would welcome your feedback in person so it can be addressed. We want all of our employees to feel valued and have a positive experience.

Engineering department review: "Vacation is not a right"

Great and friendly lower level coworkers

Cons

High turnover "Vacations are not a right" has been said in the engineering department Eng management has their nose in your day to day constantly WFH is frowned upon Boston location without the Boston perks (lower salary, bad location, office is small in a basement) No firm company direction - all projects are a stab in the dark Long hours with little/no incentive to work overtime Developers do their own QA work/tests Management seeks to blame people for mistakes Product management is inexperienced and knows little about the product Verbal sexual harassment was a weekly event for upper management

I reported my boss to HR for sexual harassment and they told me that was "just his personality"

Pros

I met one friend at this company who I still keep in touch with.

Cons

My boss sexually assaulted me several times (both physically and verbally - IN FRONT OF other colleagues). Not only did HR not do anything when I reported him, but he didn't even change when I confronted him directly. I ultimately ended up leaving the company and he's still employed despite his reputation. I know of several other employees who also had issues with him and no one did a thing. There's also a gross culture of misconduct on the sales team that gets ignored.

We take this and any complaint seriously. It is our practice to investigate all reports of inappropriate behavior. We encourage employees to raise their concerns with HR or anyone in management.
