I was not given many challenging or meaningful tasks and my skills and abilities were not used. While there is a since of community, you have to be a part of the "club" to experience those benefits. If you fit their mold or type, the company is great, but if you don't, expect to feel like an outcast. Very little diversity. Most of the women and minorities hold lesser positions.

Was someone cult-like? When you work here, they want to be involved in all facets of your life, meaning they want you at every company happy hour, party/event, etc. and there will be lots of them. They don’t formally tell you this, but it will be held against you if you don’t attend regularly when it comes down to promotions, etc. There’s a strong clique mentally and tons of nepotism that is very uncommon to see to this degree industry wide. It is like being in the Greek system again, but as a working professional. If you don’t want the company to become your entire life and identity, I’d recommend against working here perhaps. Pay is much lower here than the industry standard (to the tune of 50-60k per role lower than industry standard) but a lot of that money goes to keeping up with the company culture in the forms of events, parties, etc, instead of directly into the paycheck.
