Pros

Brightstar allows me, a field nurse, to work an easy hourly gig plus take on visits for a better rate. Our nurses are qualified and capable, more so than the local leader who I once worked for and was embarrassed by daily.

Cons

Benefits require more hours than I will likely ever work, they pretty much tamp down your hours a bit to eliminate them. No retirement.

Cons

very difficult environment. Some managers abuse their employees. They work very long hours, and have to give up vacations. There is a lot of negative politics, hard to find people you can trust. People are not open and forthcoming with information. The senior management team is insensitive to the needs of employees.

I love working here. The staff is great, and the CAREGivers are awesome. The people at my office really do love working with Seniors. It is NOT just a paycheck to myself or those I work with. I believe in the mission that we are carrying out.

Cons

I feel that the reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt. This is a franchise, and each office is run differently. I noticed a lot of complaints and all I can say is that if you don't care for hte office you are at, find someplace else to work. This is a growing industry, with offices popping up everywhere. What I love about our area is that the staff and caregivers have one common goal.
