Pros

There are many resources from different departments and branches that you can reach out to. Lots of structure and systems and procedures to help you be successful. The company has a very strong benefit package in this industry. The harder you work the more rewards you have available to you and ability to move up within the company. Your able to make transfers to other branches throughout the country which leave options open. The first few years were challenging as the merger took place but 2017 has seen a more stable and consistent work environment with a direction of where the company is headed. The goals are not small but at least we have the correct leadership and culture developing to achieve them.

Cons

There are many layers within the company and changes happen all of the time as the company try’s to figure it out what systems and procedures work best. Some positions are vulnerable because at the end of the day this is a large profit driven business and you have to deliver in your position or your out. The majority of strong talent I worked with at ValleyCrest have moved on and now work at competing companies. You have to be able to adapt and be fluid or your going to become extremely frustrated. There are some really strong branches and some are terrible depending on who is in charge and the people in place.

Pros

company car.....phone......independence......entertainment for clients covered

Cons

complete lack of management/leadership, no direction from higher ups.....KKR leaning on the company to produce profit so they cut hours and wind up having dissatisfied clients all over the map

Pros

Working with plants and being active

Cons

Facts: No Support or Guidance Berated for Sales Zero Appreciation 98+% of the managers left in 2016 12 hour work days are common place Focus on time spent at office instead of productivity Not a professional working environment (racist/ anti-semitic, homophobic comments, constant cursing and locker room humor) Hostile work environment – I literally heard my boss say, “I’m about to cold clock someone," in the conference room. When asking about commission I was not receiving, was told not to focus on it. No answer after months of asking with zero commission for sales 6 months old. Two different managers offered to give previous employees sales to me. Commissions are structured so they are never paid. Sales goal went from $18.5k/ month to 32k and eventually $60k When told that in contact, 3rd party chem applications would not be done to save money, attempts to hold branch ethically accountable to the scope of work, I was again berated for doing the right thing. Opinion - Worst place I have ever worked
