Great Place to Learn and Grow

Pros

I've been with BrowserStack for over two years in the Talent Acquisition team, and it's been a great place to be. One thing I appreciate is the amount of ownership you're given. If you have ideas to improve a process, people are open to listening, and you're encouraged to take the lead and make things happen. As a recruiter, I've never felt limited to just hiring. Along with owning engineering hiring, I also got the opportunity to support hiring for non-technical functions, which gave me exposure to different parts of the business and helped me broaden my skills. We are treated as business partners, working closely with hiring managers to solve hiring challenges rather than simply managing the process. Another thing that's exciting is how quickly the company is embracing AI. Teams across the organization are actively exploring and adopting AI to improve productivity, automate, and make better decisions. It's encouraging to work in an environment that is open to experimenting with new technologies and continuously finding smarter ways of working.

Cons

No company is perfect, and as BrowserStack continues to grow, there are times when priorities change quickly or multiple stakeholders need to align, which can slow things down. That said, I've found that people are generally open to feedback and willing to improve.

Flexible, Supportive, and Rewarding with great Team Culture and Collaboration

Pros

Working on the Customer Engineering team at BrowserStack is a great experience. Your coworkers are helpful, and your managers actually care about your career. Because it is a remote job, you get plenty of flexibility and a good work-life balance. You also get to travel to different states, making it a fun and rewarding job. Leadership is also growth centric towards employees.

Cons

Nothing major that comes in mind. Sometimes the fast paced work environment and product development may required quick upskilling and agile thinking which may be a con for some folks.

Pros

My manager has consistently provided guidance while giving me enough independence to solve problems on my own. Regular feedback conversations focus on development rather than criticism, which has helped me build confidence and improve my skills over time.

Cons

Career progression conversations could happen more proactively instead of waiting for formal review cycles

Pros

One of the biggest strengths here is the amount of trust you're given. Managers focus on helping you succeed rather than micromanaging your work, and teammates are approachable whenever you need support. The remote-first culture genuinely works well, giving you flexibility without making collaboration difficult. I also appreciated the opportunities to travel for team interactions, which helped build stronger relationships despite working remotely.

Cons

The pace of product development can be demanding, so staying current with new features and adapting quickly is important.

Pros

Remote-first - Only for older employees with flexibility to work from anywhere in India. - New employees must do remote work from Mumbai only.

Cons

- You can see how many good reviews are added on 26/27th May to show all is good, but those reviews are not reality on ground. - Check Blind app to know reality before you interview or join - New employees are expected to operate from Mumbai only and may be required to visit office based on management decisions. -Management expectations have become unrealistic after adoption of AI tools like Claude. Teams are expected to deliver “3L” work items in 1 week(5 working days), where even “1L” traditionally represents ~18 days of manual engineering effort. -Employees are expected to independently handle PRD creation, UI/UX design, frontend development, backend development, QA automation, and production delivery — regardless of role/designation and without meaningful compensation adjustments. - Fear-based messaging around performance, productivity, and job security has become increasingly common. -Many long-time leadership members who have been at the company since early stages continue to reinforce and support unrealistic initiatives instead of challenging impractical expectations or advocating for teams. -Hard deadlines and continuous delivery pressure have become normalized across teams. -“Work-life integration” policies largely feel performative for lower-level employees. At Lead, Senior Lead, and EM levels, there is an implicit expectation to remain available around the clock. -10–12+ hour workdays have become common, yet employees still feel constant pressure from managers and senior leadership to deliver more. -Employee wellbeing, personal health, and sustainability often appear secondary to delivery expectations. -Micromanagement has increased significantly, including tracking and monitoring of employee activity through laptop. -“Unlimited leave” feels more like branding than a genuinely usable policy, with employees questioned even for moderate leave usage. - Some managers and leaders appear to reward visibility, constant pressure, and upward alignment over sustainable execution practices. -Compensation does not feel aligned with workload, ownership expectations, or delivery pressure.

Pros

If you are workaholic, need to be a fore runner in the AI race, id you don't have a personal life or you don't believe in having a personal life this place is heaven. Good salary.

Cons

There is no proper process in running the team. Their principle is blitz scale which puts speed over efficiency, which may be bad for some. Too much work in a short span of time and the dev gets burnt out. As an engineering manager, I didn't have powers to stay along with the engineers. I left the place because of ethical reasons..

Pros

- Remote setup - Supportive manager - Company has a great name in the market, good to have in your CV - Learning has been amazing so far - Everyone genuinely looks for better ways of working, AI integration is encouraged so one can get creative - They value WLB - no pings are expected to be answered post work hours

Cons

- The org is going through strategic changes, which means one needs to get comfortable working through changing priorities. What is urgent today may be old news in just 2 days - Senior leaders can do better when it comes to recognizing efforts and good results - Sometimes the pressure can get a bit much; not always, but when something needs to be pulled off, the expectations can get very unrealistic and it puts everyone on very elevated stress

Pros

Working here has given me the chance to contribute to meaningful customer outcomes while learning from highly capable teammates. Managers encourage independence, feedback is constructive, and there is a genuine sense that leadership wants employees to grow. The flexibility of remote work is an added benefit that makes the experience even better.

Cons

As the company continues to scale, keeping up with new products, internal updates, and evolving priorities can occasionally require extra effort.
