Pros

First dibs on clothes, fun job, different from most retailers, benefits, sometimes bonuses , etc.

Cons

When I first started working at Buffalo, I had the best time working there and management was professional and efficient. But over the years, management changed for the worst. They are unprofessional, unstable, gossipy and do NOT set an example. They sell things online behind the store's back, price things low for themselves, extend their holds, fight over clothes, verbally abuse their employees, and lack respect for their customers. There are countless Yelp reviews about the poor management, and It is really unfortunate that this location is going downhill. This used to be a great place to shop, sell, and have fun being at, but now everyone is miserable and management seems too focused on themselves to care.

Pros

Some pros would be friendly co workers, super relaxed attendance policy, great with time off, have 1 personal day a year

Cons

Management is never on the same page, they promote unqualified people, politics plays a major role with getting promoted, you have to play "the game"

Pros

Clothes, peers, some of the customers, discount, building skills to further your career. Made many friends and mentours who I am still close with today, benefits are amazing. Part time employees qualify for all medical benefits.

Cons

Upper managment really determines the culture in your store. Some leaders are wonderful and helped teach me incredible things that will take me farther than I imagined in life, also had some bosses that were impossible to please. Not for the faint of heart. Over privileged customers are allowed to say whatever they want. If you tell them to be respectful and they complain about you to corporate you will be witten up or have it brought up in an evaluation. Managers are encouraged to provide feedback and keep a notebook of EVERYTHING you do and will use it for your evaluations. Most of what makes it into writing is your shortcomings and your positives will mostly be verbal. At times many people I met while working here become burnt out by being told to work faster, smile 24/7, are denied vacations due to having no support staff, forced to step down from management positions for enrolling in classes to continue their education, Half the time you are understaffed and expected to juggle working the buy counter, ringing customers, greeting incoming customers, keep the lines organized without a list at the buy counter all while preventing shoplifting and pretending you are loving every second of it.
