Pros
Very strong Can-Do attitude Strong sense of identity Strong commitment to their customers Large scale allows them to achieve big things Comparatively low salary but big bonuses allows them to adapt to housing downturns with minimal layoffs
Cons
Rapid growth thru acquisition means some departments are better run than others (for example, with 14,000 employees they had NO sexual harassment training - unthinkable in 2019). Lack of definition in some corporate roles leaves employees to fend for themselves High variation in quality of management Rapid turnover in executive leaders (2017-2019) Annual reviews are check the box Go-go-go attitude doesn't allow for employee coaching or development
