Overzealous, just another company though, nothing special.

Pros

Their pay was good in 2021/2022 when money was free. The people are incredible humans that push forward with more effort than the company deserves.

Cons

Pay isn't that good now, everyone is a top of their band performer and I'm pretty convinced they are intentionally churning those high band holders. They are chasing the illusion of diversity like all the rest of these silicon valley companies that think they're the next big thing and try to sell themselves as such. I assure you the veil is thin, DEIB does not exist here. What little does exist, is kept barely living by unengaged leadership who consistently hires more remote white males despite an RTO policy and consistent complaints about a lack of females in engineering. Neurodiverse beware. There's a lot of corner cutting here, projects often end up half completed as a result of a sudden fire or pivot. Not for those who are unwilling to be asked to compromise their standards.

Great Team, Great Opportunity

Pros

- Incredible market opportunity and outlook - Best place to grow and stretch yourself within the right team and role - The smartest, most hardworking group of people I have been surrounded by in my professional career - Great pay and benefits offerings I have loved every minute at Built, and it has been the place I have grown the most in my 10+ year career journey (and I've worked at large brand name companies). There have been challenging times and moments as at any company, but getting to work with this caliber of team members on complex problems/innovative ideas has only made be a better person/professional in the long run.

Cons

- Leadership misalignment at the top and across division leaders (getting much better more recently) - Previous lack of focus/intentionality with strategic decisions and hiring (getting much better more recently)

Potential Game-Changer

Pros

After a decade of laying the foundation, Built enables industry stakeholders to tackle pressing challenges head-on. By bridging industry gaps and reinforcing with technology, Built enables streamlined construction processes, reinforcing efficiency and trust. By introducing tailored solutions for owner/developer and contractor segments, Built is poised to extend its influence along the construction value chain, leveraging established bank partnerships. Year 11 promises to raise the roof on innovation and impact as Built continues its journey, one beam at a time.

Cons

Built is a growing startup that is continuously refining its operational efficiency and market fit for its diverse stakeholders. Although the company has been around for a decade, it has recently experienced significant growth (especially during COVID). As a result, it is still in the process of optimizing its internal processes and establishing itself as an attractive workplace for top talent. The challenging macroeconomic conditions have posed some difficulties for the company's culture and unity. However, as Built improves its efficiency, refines its work practices, and fosters a performance-driven culture, a more favorable macroeconomic environment with increased capital availability and lower interest rates will likely propel the company to a stronger position in 2025.
