Pros

- Modern office space - Young and dynamic company that has experienced a lot of growth over the past few years - Fortune 500 benefits with startup feel - Potential to gain supply chain experience across a variety of different industries on different accounts - Opportunity to be in Chicago - Opportunity to have overseas assignments early on in your career which is rare for a company with ~450 employees. - Not a bad place to start out and gain some experience in supply chain

Cons

- My daily work is very operational and doesn't require much critical thinking - A non college graduate could easily do most of the work that I do as a Logistics Analyst - I have heard many people complain that salaries are not competitive at all for the industry - TMC claims to offer top supply chain talent but most hold degrees in completely unrelated fields - Since I've started, quite a few people have taken other opportunities and left the company I think mainly due to a combination of below market compensation and a lack of developmental opportunities. - Seems like some very talented employees have been stuck in their analyst roles for too long.

Pros

The working environment is very nice. Good office location, very friendly staff, occasional office treat. Good restaurants around the office. Good work-life balance. The company is growing pretty fast and it is possible to have some international exposure. Jordan (CEO) is very nice and have good vision about the company.

Cons

White male dominance in the management level, no diversity at all. Low paid compare to industry. HR department sucks, plays favorite all the time, and have no professional experience related to HR. You can see most of the good reviews here are from senior to manager level. Rarely promote from within the company, and there is no growth and development. They call these training "bootcamps" which really is just 1 hour class for you to learn something new but no opportunity to use. It is very likely that you will be doing the same thing every day and just pray for a new opening comes up. Do not value education at all, some people work very hard with a master's degree from top universities stay in entry level. Frat house culture, you have to be "in the club" to be promoted. Hard workers do not get recognized, and some people should have been let go for a long time. Managers do not receive proper training to really "manage" people.

Pros

People (coworkers) are great and are sometimes the sole reason you can continue to show up everyday, work/life balance, allowed to work independently, benefits

Cons

Management has no idea how to manage people. Also didn't bother to show up most days. Compensation is low and too much discretion is given to the manager to give money to his favorites. For the most part these jobs are a dead end. In the past there was room for monetary advancement but even that is gone now. There is little to no room for advancement or to learn new things.
