Pros

you make your own schedule

Cons

*harassment about when a job will be completed, even though its not due yet *no regard for contracts- if you sign up to work in a 100 mile radius, expect to be forced to double that. * if there is no work in the area, you dont get paid unless you take a tdy assignment else where, away from family. * no family time with job as you have to talk to sources in person who dont get home till after 5pm, if your lucky. * you get chewed out because people dont want to answer their phones to schedule the interviews. * review is constantly reopening you for stuff that should be common sense/ simple to understand stuff. for example, "subject makes a short commute from state a to state b" review wants to know how why. * company wants to confront on issues that shouldnt be confronted on case papers, i.e. stuff that happened over 10 or 7 years ago. *you get called in the middle of the night to fix a case because review works at night. *wear and tear on your own vehicle. already killed one car because of this job, and the .56 reimbursement...yea you turn in a travel report and it gets scrutinized and if you are a mile over, its rejected. * not allowed to arm yourself with ANYTHING when doing residential coverage, meaning you are walking around random neighborhoods, knocking on random doors asking strangers if they know this person. ive been grabbed once and had to get stitches. did my team lead care? NO, all he said was, well get back out there and be careful, this HAS to get done.

Pros

Benefits are good. Compensation is not.

Cons

Would not recommend this company to anyone. Management cares very little about employees, especially when it comes to diversity. If you have hopes for promotion, then you'd better be under 30 and light skinned. Have seen some very talented individuals burn out and leave the company, because they were passed over for promotions, and because the jobs that they hoped for were given to people far less skilled. The company's SVP forced employees to return to work at the height of the pandemic (Late 2020), before vaccines were widely available, and despite the fact that most of the employees were fully capable of working from home. Witnessed, along with the rest of the people in the building, this same SVP standing in the former HR director's door loudly berating her because she refused to bend company policy. Her exact words, "I can't do that it's against company policy." Everyone heard. The harassment went on for about four months until she was forced to resign. Much better places to work out there than the CACI SSC.

Pros

At first Caci seemed like a relief from that deceptive company USIS. It was great to have time to review cases before working on them. They actually gave us extra time to complete cases. As of three weeks ago, PRODUCTION, not quality is the most important thing. Again, pushing Investigators to work hard and then giving them a hard time when overtime is needed. Working off the clock will become the norm if this is not corrected. But, as always when greed is part of the package, the end will always be the same. Just a matter of time...

Cons

Just a matter of time - production instead of quality is NEVER the way to go. The love of money is ALWAYS the root of evil.
