Pros

The job was interesting, because of the type of claims that people would make. If you want a job that does not require a lot thinking this is the job for you.

Cons

The management was very rude and was not helpful. They had their cliques and being a new employee I felt very uncomfortable and out of place. I was fired after only 4 weeks of employment, I never received any type of formal training or classes. Prior to this job, I was a claims adjuster/casualty specialist for over 10 years with one of the most reputable company there is. I would do extensive research and long consideration before accepting a job with this company.

Pros

You do get 4 wks of paid time off and we do get surprised with being able to leave early the day before a holiday

Cons

Management is practically useless, you get 2% raises which is less than inflation, doesnt matter how well you do everyone gets the same pay, no incentive to go above and beyond, your reward for being awesome and getting your work done is to help lazy coworkers who consistently are behind, no growth potential, special rules for special people, company pulled our bonus in 2020 and Adjusters only got a raise because we were about to quit, the pay is much less then what other companies pay.

Thank you for your honest review. We do encourage our staff to reach out to the Human Resources department with complaints/suggestions. The HR department does fully work in the Danville office as well. We also review salary ranges yearly prior to evaluations to ensure we are in line with the market.

Division is horribly managed

Pros

CCMSI purchased VCM and that company is solid, fair and treats employees well.

Cons

The Senior Manager is a narcissistic, pathological liar who treats people terribly. She discusses staff with other staff, is lazy and doesn't know how to manage a company, division or people. Many careers have been ruined by and one has to wonder why a company as well-respected as CCMSI allows her to sully their great reputation. The atmosphere is fear-based and toxic. The two "positive" reviews were written by current employees who were instructed to do so.

We are very sorry to see that you feel this way. While we strongly disagree with your comments we respect your right to speak your mind. It is unfortunate that things did not work out here for you at VCM. We wish you all the best in your new endeavors.
