Pros

Talented team, impactful work, solid benefits

Cons

Salaries are low compared to industry standards, and bands aren't transparent. Raises are determined before reviews, making it challenging to advocate for higher pay.

Pros

Constant learning; no two days are the same High-impact client work from day one Clear, transparent career path with defined rubrics Promotions based on readiness, not scarcity Always paid, even between clients (rare downtime, though) Deeply mission-driven coworkers who are smart, collaborative, generous Culture of internal promotion; leadership all came up through the ranks

Cons

Salary transparency promises not followed through Raises are annual but conversations about pay are discouraged Salary bands are location-agnostic which tough if you live in a high-cost city Politics matter and playing the game helps you move faster Leadership can be performative, disconnected from on-the-ground work Feedback to senior leadership sometimes backfires

Pros

If you are between the ages of 22-30 and are getting started in the consulting industry- the pay is solid and you can obtain connections that can lead to a quality career next step.

Cons

You are worth more than this organization. CCS prides itself on being a top notch fundraising consulting firm, yet I continually saw new hires and prospective hires get mentally abused from the organization. Whether it is the overtly long interview process, to the lacking structural support new hires are granted when onboarded, this organization externally projects an image that is clearly different than what is on the inside. If you want to be overworked and paid a salary that is id classify "solid" for consulting than I'd say this job is for you, but you have to be willing to accept knowing you work for an organization that truly doesn't care about treating all new and prosepctive hires with minimal levels of decency.
