Pros

CNA has an excellent claims philosophy and you can feel good that the insurance product we sell delivers a great value and product to our customers.

Cons

The culture has shifted at this company. There is very little opportunity to advance into senior positions unless you previously worked at Chubb. They have gotten rid of much of the long-term staff in favor of newer, cheaper trainees. Promotions seem to be more based on who you are kissing up to rather than merit. The performance evaluation system is very subjective and contains forced rankings. Raises do not even keep up with inflation.

The people ( normal workers ) that work at CNA are wonderful to work with but Senior Management is Horrible!!!!!!

Cons

CNA was a very good company to work for until about 5 years ago when they got New Senior Management mostly from Chubb Corp. which changed for the worse the environment at CNA to a Greed, Profit is the only thing that matters mentality. CNA is now laying off U,S,A, workers to export those jobs to India and the Philippines so upper management can get Bigger Bonuses. It has been horrible in the last few years.

Pros

Good co-workers that make the work enjoyable. Good PTO and very good 401K plan. Multi offices so you can move around the country.

Cons

Management looks out for themselves over their employees. High turnover in all departments. Very disorganized and company does not have clear objection. Heath insurance is one of the worse in industry.
