Pros

Great co-workers. A few managers support some of their team (but only to their advantage). convenient downtown location.

Cons

Contradictory and not trustworthy. They say we'll attract and retain the best and brightest. This is so false. They are know for layoffs, cutthroat. Unless you are part of "The Good Old Boys Club" you are doomed for failure or or at a minimum layoff. Micromanagement. VAST majority of IT is outsourced with no thought whatsoever for employees. Everything and I mean everything is about the bottom dollar. Even if you're the best employee in the world or an award winner you are just as vulnerable as the least.

Claims Adjuster

Pros

Nice Location and office Helps when needs to adjust hours at times Some very nice coworkers Great opportunity to talk to different people, organizations all over the country daily. Nice casual atmosphere, at times fun.

Cons

- Micromanaged and managing by intimidation is NEVER effective and certainly does not promote a healthy work place. Experienced adults do not need that especially when they have more working knowledge than many of the supervisors. - Job should be listed as call center worker, not claims adjuster - NOT a place to work if you come from a working background that puts quality, customer service/satisfaction over quantity with poor service (the number of calls you take and get rid of fast is what counts). - VERY LOW pay for the job expectations. Benefits are a plus. - Old company dogs in management that will never leave as long as they can keep everyone else down. you feel like you are in school, and certain people run to the principal.

Pros

There are some great people at this company and they do appear to believe in their employees.

Cons

Talk of advancement appears to be mostly talk. They are not equipped to train/ move employees to the next level.
