Pros

Lots of room to grow in the company Freedom to make a position into something great Working with some great employees and dynamic managers who are forward thinking and team players Great experience Fast paced Changing company with new avenues to explore

Cons

Constantly changing compensation plans Too much leniency with managers and employees who abuse their authority or privileges of their position Lackluster managers who do not support their employees and do not promote a team environment Lack of action on addressing internal issues Low compensation for some key positions Too much change without clear communication internally Inconsistent from region to region A company who throws spaghetti at the wall too much wasting time, effort, and money Ambiguous company values Unjustified promotions

Pros

The product offering is very enticing and allows you to present a true value proposition to your customers. Name recognition is high.

Cons

This is an operationally driven company. They know this and strive to hire self starters with a true entrepreneurial spirit to overcome. When these self starters achieve results they threaten the old guard and CORT calls this threat difficulty acclimating to culture. There is also NO onboarding process. You will be given a 15 day plan to watch 15 year old videos and work in the warehouse, but you will be lucky if your manager spends more than an hour with you. HR also does not understand the role of a CORT employee outside of the operations group. The end result is that the superstars that CORT recruits, at low $ typically, leave and the company is left with the average players that have floated under the radar for years

Pros

The product is great, it sells. The reputation of the company is superb in Denver. The Account Representative role is fun if you enjoy working with people. You will come in contact with up to 50 people per day so you must be willing and able to socialize, train and sell.

Cons

After a while the job can get repetative and boring.
