Pros

CSAA HAS A GOOD REPUTATION FOR IT'S CLAIMS DEPARTMENT AND ERS RELIABILITY, AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND A SUITABLE "LATERAL" POSITION WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND SOME MEASURE OF SUCESS BEFORE THE "BURN OUT" HITS. SUGGESTION: GO FOR A POSITION WHERE YOU ARE NOT DEALING WITH ANY CUSTOMERS!

Cons

FEEDBACK ON JOB PERFORMANCE SUBJECTIVE, A "THEY'RE OUT TO GET YOU" MENTALITY AND WORK ATMOSPHERE (ESPECIALLY "QUALITY ASSURANCE") THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX IS IGNORED AND LOOKED DOWN UPON, EVEN THOUGH THEY PAY GOOD LIP SERVICE TO IT. MANY BUSINESS PRATICES STILL DONE LIKE IT'S THE 50'S OR 60'S. THEY HAVEN'T GROWN WITH THE TIMES OR THEIR ENVIRONMENT WHATSOEVER

Pros

In this economy, I'm grateful to still have a job with benefits.

Cons

To get promoted or otherwise recognized, you must kiss ass to the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) and DLT (Divisional Leadership team) members. The ELT is more concerned about maintaining thier very health egos than the future of this company, the members they service or their employees. They claim they want this company to be a employee driven entity, yet, the numerous technology applications are antiquated or do not work. All are on seperate platforms, so employees need to enter the same information in numerous applications. Plus, not all information is updated in the same way, and sometimes, like insurance payments, are missapplied. The main office whiched was based in San Francisco for 100 years is now being split up and moved to Walnut Creek, Fairfield, Richmond, CA and Henderson, NV. They have closed one call center in Livermore and are almost done closing the 2nd call center in Elk Grove. 20% of Emergengy Road Service and membership calls are taken in Glendale, AZ, with the other 80% taken in Florida by individual contractors. There are times when the network is down and the Florida folks cannot connect to the ERS or Membership applications, and members are put into an unending call queue.

Pros

Pay is decent for those that have been here for sometime and do what they are suppose to do. I cant complain about that. Benefits seem to be on par with most companies out there. Large enough company to where IF something were to open up you could possibly learn something completely different but still related.

Cons

Senior Management cares little about anyone lower than middle management level. Deaf ears are turned to employees regarding system issues, training issues and morale issues. Senior management seem to live by shoot 1st ask questions later. I could go on with complaints, but really dont think it would be fair to AAA NCNU in this economic time. All companies are having to make sacrafices and adjustments.
